The Trade Street Gallery Coffeehouse provides a venue for many events throughout the year.  Check back regularly for updated events.  The coffeehouse regularly hosts the following types of events.

Live Performances

The coffeehouse provides a venue for live performances.  We have regularly scheduled open mic, and “Picking Parlor”.  In addition we host the occasional “Tip Entertainment.”  

Listening To Coffee (Open Mic)

Held on the 3rd Friday of the month “Listening To Coffee” is our open mic; but this open mic is not just about music.  We have performances of spoken word, poetry and comedy.  We accept any performance.  Performers have 15 minute sets in which to present their act.  If there are any unfilled slots, performers may present more sets.  Times are assigned on a first-come first-served basis.  Doors open at 7pm and the first set starts at 7:30.  The house band will provide entertainment during any unused sets.  The coffeehouse provides a PA system.

Picking Parlor

Held the first Friday of every month, this is a “bardic circle” type event where the  musicians tend to sit in a circle.  Each member of the circle picks and plays a song with the other members joining in if they know the piece – or think they can fake it well.  The Picking Parlor always starts at 7pm.

Tip Entertainment

Our “Tip Entertainment” is an event where the performer is entertaining for tips.  This is not a regularly scheduled entertainment though it does appear on our calendar when we have enough advance notice.  We encourage performers to contact us to schedule an evening or weekend afternoon.  We encourage all our patrons to support the entertainment through generous donations to the tip jar.
