Information for Performers

The Trade Street Gallery Coffeehouse is always looking for new talent to showcase.  We provide three different performance settings are are outlined on our calendar page.

Picking Parlor and Listening to Coffee

Both of these events are open mic type events.  The difference is explained on the calendar page.  To participate in either of these show up on the appointed date at the appointed time and join the fun.

Tip Entertainment

Many an artist has made a living playing for tips; at the Trade Street Gallery Coffeehouse we do our part to provide a venue for such artists.  Artists who wish to book a “Tip Entertainment” performance should contact contact the Coffeehouse as noted below.  Specify that you are seeking to play for tips and an range of dates that you are available.  If you have not played in the coffeehouse before, please send a demo as noted below.  The space is very small so we prefer to book individuals, duos or small groups of acoustic musicians.  We understand and accept that many groups have a need for electrified bass guitar.  We provide a piano for those performers that would like to use it.  The coffeehouse will provide a PA system and coffee, tea, soda or water for the performers.

Booking Your Act

Performers who wish to be considered for “Tip Entertainment” or a “Parlor Concert” should contact send a request containing a phone number, and email address to:

Alternatively, performers may send a request via email to with the subject of “Bookings”.  Please include a phone number in your email.

If you have not previously performed at the coffeehouse please include a demo CD or tape.  If you are contacting us via email an MP3 or other common format digital demo is acceptable.

If we decide to book your act we expect that you will provide us with several publicity photos and some background text that we may use in our publicity campaigns.  The photos and text may be emailed.
